Kirkcudbright not only has the excellent Summer Exhibition but you can also enjoy the remarkable range of galleries, museums, craft and design outlets which the town has to offer. There is also a delightful programme of Summer Festivities to be enjoyed including an Art & Crafts Trail taking place from 30th July to the 1st August. There is a very good range of accommodation providers in and around Kirkcudbright from Hotels and excellent B&B (including one 5 star) to a full range of Self Catering. How you can get here
Travelling by Road: Kirkcudbright is best accessed by coming off the A75 on to the A711 approximately 4 miles west of Castle Douglas.
Coach Parking: If Kirkcudbright is busy then Coaches are best parked down near the Marina where there is a walk through for passengers on to the High Street by the side of Broughton House.
Car Parking: While there is generally plenty of space for street parking, Kirkcudbright can get busy in the summer months and the best place to leave your car is in the Harbour Square, a short walk across from the Town Hall. All parking in Kirkcudbright is free of charge and there are no time restrictions.
